Lot KINAZI CWS NATURAL LOT No: 2: Simbi Coffee Kinazi CWS
This remarkable 900kg lot of 100% Red Bourbon coffee comes from
a group of eight experienced farmers in Rwanda’s Kinazi

Producer Story:
From the fertile highlands of Rwanda’s Kinazi Sector, this
lot is the result of eight dedicated smallholder farmers who blend
generational wisdom with a shared passion for quality coffee. Led
by Tuganumuremyi Francois, this group, with members ranging from 40
to 93 years old, nurtures over 9,000 Arabica Bourbon trees at
altitudes of 1,300–1,600 meters. Their dedication and family
values are evident in every harvest, embodying a deep connection to
their land.
Their meticulously harvested cherries are brought to the Kinazi
Washing Station, part of Simbi Coffee Investment. Founded by Abdul
Rudahunga, who was inspired by his grandmother’s coffee
tradition, Simbi marries innovation with heritage. The lot 2 is
processed using the Natural method, sun-drying the whole cherries
on raised beds. This process, enhanced by the region’s steady
mountain breezes and sandy-clay soils, yields a vibrant cup with a
deep, fruit-forward profile. Expect tasting notes of ripe
blueberry, creamy milk chocolate, and bright candied orange zest, a
testament to Simbi's commitment to excellence and the farmers'
enduring legacy
